Talis
Over the past few months, we at Park 56 have worked with the Sage team on the sale of Talis to Kortext, a global leader in digital content, library and learning solutions.
UK-based Talis is a leading academic library SaaS solution that bridges the library’s resources with academic curricula. Talis is part of Sage, the leading independent academic publisher headquartered in California.
The acquisition of Talis enhances Kortext’s position as a key provider of library workflow solutions by simplifying and enabling seamless discovery for educators and learners looking for course content. The transaction will ensure continued long-term investment and innovation in Talis’ products, and will allow Sage to sharpen their focus on providing trusted learning and research resources that foster critical thinking, research and career skills.
It has been an honor and a pleasure for us to work with the Sage team ( Ziyad Marar, Karen Phillips, Martha Sedgwick, Matthew Hayes, Fadel COMBARY, Mark Walford, Ben Russell, Kate Hitchcock, Cathy Sharpsmith (née Sharpe) BSc, Assoc CIPD and Richard Thame) and find a good home for Talis. A big thank you as well to the Kortext team ( James Gray, Jeremy Duckworth, Alexander Lewis, Mark Edmondson and Vicky Titley (MCIPD)) for the constructive and solution-focused conversations over the past few months. Compliments to everyone for the commitment, hard work and energy put into this project, and of course for the good spirits!
